Varietals of Grapes we Grow Under the Desert Sun

Greetings, wine lovers! I'm Vintner, a Mojave Desert Tortoise, and I make wine from grapes we grow at Tarantula Ranch. You may be surprised to learn that our family vineyard is thriving in the middle of a desert, but let me tell you, the grapes that we grow here are truly exceptional. Today, I'd like to introduce you to the 5 varietals of grapes that we grow at our desert vineyard.

1. Chardonnay

Let's start with the queen of white wines, the Chardonnay. Our Chardonnay grapes thrive in the warm, dry climate of the Mojave Desert. They have a light, fruity flavor with a hint of oak, making them perfect for sipping on a hot summer day.

2. Barbera

Next up, we have the Barbera grape, which is native to the Piedmont region of Italy. Our Barbera grapes have a rich, bold flavor with a hint of black cherry and vanilla. They make an excellent accompaniment to a hearty meal.

3. Merlot

The Merlot grape is a classic varietal that is beloved by wine enthusiasts all over the world. Our Merlot grapes have a deep, rich flavor with a hint of blackberry and chocolate. They are perfect for sipping by the fireplace on a cold winter night.

4. Cabernet

5. Zinfandel
